Our School Aims

What are the aims of the school?

We want all individuals who work and learn in this school to enjoy coming here each day. We want them to feel they matter as individuals, to feel happy and safe and for them to strive to achieve their absolute potential. To enable us to value each individual we have these core principles. We aim to:

Provide a learning environment where all students and staff are motivated by experiencing a stimulating, high quality, and challenging learning experience which takes account of learners as individuals.
Offer a curriculum which meets the need of all young people, is relevant to them and which prepares them to be lifelong learners in an ever changing world of work. The wide range of learning experiences will equip them with the transferable skills for the work environment.
Provide an inclusive school ensuring that there is equality of opportunity for all and one which recognises diversity, individual pupil needs and provides support for gifted and talented, special needs and vulnerable pupils.
Promote the intellectual, moral, social, cultural and physical development of all our students such that they go out into the world as sociable, respectful, caring and responsible citizens who are willing to participate in the local and global community.
Foster excellent relationships with the local community that are mutually beneficial to members of our school community, those outside and which results in the school having an outstanding reputation.
Work in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that each individual student flourishes, achieves their potential and attains the highest possible standards that will ensure their future economic well-being.
Strive for excellence and, in so doing, play our part in transforming the lives of the young people in our care with a true belief that ‘every child matters’ at Pensby High School for Girls.
