At Pensby we take great pride in the wide range of opportunities on offer to students.
Extra curricular activities and clubs mostly take place during lunchtime.
There are also oppotunitesd to go on school trips for the day and even longer trips that include overnight stays. These vary from year to year according to the interest of the girls and staff who run them. We hope that all pupils will be able to join in wuth at least one activity.
Activities this year include: Active Playground, athletics, rounders, tennis, volleyball, netball, tramolining, fencing and hockey, hip- hop dance and salsa dance.
There is aslo a French Film Club, a creative writers club, storytime and Magic Carpet Club (listening to tapes of classical books).
More musical pupils might enjoy the Concert band, the brass ensemble, choir and chamber choir.
Other varied clubs include: Board games, Drama, Maths puzzles, Science club, Christian club, DTF club and DTC club and computer club.
Year 9 girls will also be able to enroll on the Duke of Edinbugh Awards.
Trips play an important part of a student's educational experience. Some of the trips form part of the pupil's studies whilst others are optional extras. More recent trips have included: Theatre trips, locally and in London and Manchester, Berlin History trip, Barcelona and London Art trips, Kingswood out of bounds, Winmarleigh Hall ICT trip, Sixth form Kenya trip, Chester zoo Science trips, Modern Foreign Languages trips to France and Spain and Geography trips to Meol Fammau and many more.
