Sixth Form Collaboration - How will this affect you?

The extent to which this will affect you will depend on the courses you wish to study at A-level. The table which shows the option blocks also shows where the courses will be based:

• Some courses will be based solely at Pensby;
• Some courses will be based solely at Hilbre;
• Some courses will be based at both Hilbre and Pensby in both years 12 and years 13;
• Some courses will be based at Hilbre and Pensby in year 12, but will then be taught jointly in year 13.

Whichever courses you choose, you can depend upon high standards of teaching and learning, fully supported by the pastoral team at your home school.

Procedures will be put in place to ensure that your progress is monitored by your home school and practical issues, such as travel between the two sites, will be managed. It is our intention, for example, that a minibus will be provided for transport between Hilbre and Pensby at break and lunch times when you may need to change location.
