Sixth Form

You can use BTEC awards to go on to further study

BTEC Nationals earn you UCAS points and are therefore valued by universities, allowing you to go and take a BTEC / HNC or honours degree. A BTEC National Award qualification is worth between 40 and 120 UCAS points, depending on the grade achieved.

Results for BTEC qualifications are released before those of A Levels, so you can confirm your university place before other students.
