School Uniform
All parents will receive a copy of the School Code of Conduct and Uniform Regulations when their daughter joins the school; but for advance information and planning current uniform requirements are as follows:
Main Uniform
- Navy blue blazer with School Badge
- Navy blue skirt - 'A' line or pleated from school suppliers, suitable length is from just above the knee to just below the knee.
- (Tight skirts are inappropriate especially those made with Lycra.)
- Navy blue tailored trouser - Banner Style 3822 only
- Year 7 to 9: White short sleeved blouse with revere collar. Years 10 and 11 wear turquoise blouses. Prefects wear yellow blouses.
- Navy blue 'V' necked sweater or sleeveless jumper with badge (not a sweatshirt or round necked jumper). Cardigans may be worn but must be navy.
- Plain navy blue or white socks or plain black or navy tights
- Plain black low heeled/flat shoes. No canvas shoes, trainers, boots, pumps, baseball boots or sparkly patterns. Shoes need to be waterproof.
- Optional - navy fleece with school badge. (Available to purchase from school).
Earrings are not allowed in Years 7 - 9. In Year 10 and 11, students are alowed to wear one pair of small studs. No other piercings are permitted. Students are not allowed to come into school with plasters covering earrings in pierced ears. If a students from Years 7 -9 does so she will be asked to remove her earrings. If a students wishes to have her ears pierced then we suggest she has it done at the start of the summer holiday so that her ears are healed by the time she comes to school in September.
Students in Years 10 and 11 may wear subtle make up. Below Year 10, make up is not permitted.
Students hair should be of one colour and be a natural shade, if fashion colours are applied in leisure time they should be able to be washed out.
Parents and carers have a huge impact in supporting us in maintaining high standards with school uniform so we ask for your contined support in in ensurung our girls are very smart and a credit to themselves and the school.
PE Kit
- Pair of training shoes
- White short-sleeved blouse (polo shirt type)
- White sports socks - ankle length
- Red kilted skirt (optional)
- Red shorts
- Navy blue tracksuit-bottoms and sweatshirt (only available from our suppliers)
- Astro trainers (optional)
- Optional - white knee high socks to take shin pads
- Sports bag
- Gum shield (recommended)
All uniform and PE kit must be clearly labelled.
Lost Property
- We hope we have a good lost property system at Pensby Girls. If named items are handed in, they are returned straight away.
- Anything unnamed is stored in a locked cupboard and is returned if requested by the owner.
- All lost property is displayed in the entrance hall at the end of every half term or term, so the girls get a chance to claim items.
- The girls are always made aware of this event by posters and form notices.
- Anything left over after the display is either thrown away or taken to a charity. PE kit left over is washed and stored for spares.
- If your daughter/ward loses something please encourage her to ask the Resource Assistants in the Room 3a, or in the Library.
